COUNCIL MEETINGS:
The next Parish Council meeting will be its Annual Meeting on 21 May. All parishioners are warmly invited to attend
Council meetings are normally held monthly apart from April when the Annual Parish Meeting is held, August and December. Formal notices of meetings and outline agendas are posted on the village notice boards. Agenda items must be advised to the Parish Clerk in writing 7 clear days before the day of a meeting.
NEWS (when there is some!):
The SNC has announced that householders need to put cardboard into the black boxes for recycling. This means that green bins are solely for garden waste with no paper content. The change has arisen because composting sites no longer accept cardboard. Large cardboard boxes should be flattened and tied up, being placed under the black box. Smaller pieces can be placed in carrier or clear bags, not black bin liners. Carrier bags can also be used for extra cans and plastics. Black bins/boxes should be outside by 7.00am.
Phone books and shredded paper should go into the green box. Paper which won’t fit into the green box can also be put into carrier bags.
